Membrane Group Secures Usd 50 Million Investment Commitment From Gef Capital to Accelerate Scale and Innovation in Sustainable Water Solutions

Membrane Group India Pvt. Ltd. (Membrane Group), a leading provider of advanced process water and wastewater treatment solutions, has secured a US$50 million investment from GEF Capital Partners’ South Asia Growth Fund III to enhance its technological and operational capabilities.

The funding will support the Group’s efforts to expand its solutions in Ultrapure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment, Water Reclamation, and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) for sectors such as solar photovoltaics, semiconductors, microelectronics, and advanced manufacturing. It will enable greater project execution capacity, investments in R&D, and the development of innovative resource recovery technologies. The partnership marks a milestone in Membrane Group’s vision to become a global technology driven water and wastewater treatment company, executing large-scale, multi-gigawatt projects across India and abroad.

Chairman M. M. Narang said the investment reflects the trust built with customers and partners and strengthens the company’s capacity for innovation and sustainable growth. GEF Capital’s Managing Director, Abhishek Loonker, described the partnership as timely, noting water as a defining global resource challenge and recognizing Membrane Group’s leadership and technological strengths.
